“I’ve got a complaint,” said the irate worker to the cashier, “I’m 10 shillings short in my pay packet,”

“Oh!” said the cashier, “so you’re the chap who got 10 shillings too much last week, is that right?”

“Yes, “said the bereaved; “what about it? “

“Well, you didn’t make much of a song about that, did you?”

“No,” was the answer, “I can put up with one mistake, but not with two.”
