The Choir Strike at Darfield Church.
The choirmen of the Parish Church, Darfield, were again absent from their places yesterday.
An appointment had been made of an organist (Mr. William Hunt) during the absence of the Vicar, who was his holidays.
On his return, he took exception to the appointment, but is now willing recognise it, if the churchwardens are agreed, but singularly enough the people’s warden, who was one of the gentlemen to apprise the new organist of his appointment, has withdrawn his consent, and the dispute in consequence is at a deadlock.
