Darfield Dramatic Club made a successful debut last night when, before a large audience in Snape Hill Council Schools, they presented three one act plays, “The Dear Departed” (S Houghton), “The Monkeys Paw” (W.W.Jacobs), and “The Bishops Candlesticks” (N.Mackinel)

Making their bow, the Society had shown wisdom in presenting a mixed menu, because their programme allow for full exploitation of their varied potentialities and in that it presented stage opportunities for a great number of players than a full three act production would have allowed.
