Village Haunted

 ‘Ghost’ Sounds Like Owl

The little mining village  of Low Valley, midway between Wombwell and Darfleld, is being haunted by ghost.”

It is not ghost that can be seen. The manifestations consist of strange noises heard regular Intervals shortly after midnight.

Some say it is like an owl, but a good deal louder; others describe the noise as “a woman being strangled.”

When the clock was put back last week-end, the “ghost” Ignored it. It came exactly hour earlier than the clock.
