Wedding – Randerson & Perry

At Darfield Wesleyan Church last Thursday afternoon, Miss Frances Randerson. eldest daughter of Councillor R. and Mrs. Randerson, 12, Garden Street. Darfield. was married to Mr. Harry Perry second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Perry, of Barnsley Road, Darfield.

Bride and bridegroom are prominent members of the Wesleyan Church. Mr. Perry being secretary of the Young Men’s Institute and a member of the choir. The Reverend. S. Hankin Hardy (Cudworth), performed the ceremony which was witnessed by a large congregation. The service was choral with Mr. S. White at the organ.

The bride wore a charming; dress of ivory angel skin, ankle length, with diamante trimming and a matching coatee. Her long net veil was held by a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried lilies and white heather.

The elder bridesmaids, Misses Marion and Phyllis Randerson (the bride’s sisters), wore pale blue satin and coatees with white fur trimmings. They also wore black felt hats and carried bouquets of bronze chrysanthemums. Jean Stansfield, of Huddersfield, wearing a long green silk dress, with poke bonnet, and carrying a Victorian posy. and Douglas Brown of Leeds, in a green silk Victoria suit, were also in attendance

Mr. A. Perry and Mr. F. Perry attended the bridegroom. Councillor and Mrs Randerson entertained over 80 guests in the Wesleyan schoolroom. Among many beautiful presents was an overmantle from the Darfield Wesleyan choir.
