Miss Doris Singleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Singleton, of Gladstone Terrace, Darfield, was married in the Darfield Parish Church on Saturday to Mr. William Shaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Shaw, also of Gladstone Terrace, Darfield.

The bride wore an ankle-length gown of white crepe suede with a frilled skirt and bolero, and veil and wreath of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.

Two bridesmaids who were in attendance were Miss Mary Joy (Shipley), and Miss May Singleton (sister of bride). The former wore a dress of green georgette and lace with a green hat, and the latter a shell-pink silk dress with black bat. Mr. Stanley Knight (Shipley) and Mr. Tom Crosswaite (Worsboro” Dale) were best man and groomsman.

The Rev. L. Tippett officiated.
